The Happyness Project – Aug 10th

Preface :

A few days back, during lunch time; I was listening to a wonderful TEDx talk about how we as humans have the natural tendency to look at the negatives and getting stuck in them. It was quite true and the speaker Miss Alison offered a simple technique on training to focus our mind on the positives in life – a gratitude journal or thinking of what made us happy that day !

Life is indeed cyclical and so are our days. During a day, we experience several highs and lows. I have tried to start a project for myself, where in I list down at least 5 things/ people/ incidents which made my day a “Happy” day and I’ve decided to call it “The Happyness Project (THP)”. Starting August 2nd, each day I will post a short synopsis of what made me happy that day and let the people behind that moment know that I treasure that moment. So, essentially; it is happyness, gratitude & thankfulness all practiced together. These posts will not be pinned to my blog home page but will be published under the menu “The Happyness Project”.

My day was a happy day, thanks to :

  • Morning study session of International Econ. Difficult, but need to bring in more discipline and season it with right motivation to get going 🙂

  • Text chat with my favorite person, who assured me that my being very persistent at times is NOT annoying

  • Thank you, Jazz for not holding a grudge against me for the spill out. You are so sweet. I hope I could restore your lovely smile ❤

  • My beloved friend, Starry – who started her Project Glee in lines with The Happyness Project. I am so excited, girl !

  • Talk on the phone with the first person I met in this city, and who is a friend, mentor & guide to me. Thank you, Ritesh for all the motivation your fill me with. So look forward to catching up with you

  • Walking, Talking (WhatsApp voice note chats) & window Shopping in evening & starting back my 11K streak 🙂

  • Writing about LOVE, after a long long long time. No matter what, you need to restore your faith even if it is blatantly uprooted due to storms.

  • Thanks to my laptops not being backlit & both of them throwing tantrums at night (one not connecting to the wifi & the other being low on battery & the third one – my brother’s being password protected – which I couldn’t recollect) Hence, I could sleep in at a reasonable hour (read 12 AM) before the weekend commenced 😛 Now, finally my wifi issue is sorted – thank you Vatsal & I also am given the password to Vatsal’s laptop ! #yeyyyyy
