Collecting Flags !

I have a weird confession to make to all of you. So here you go –

I often check the Flag counter on my blog. AND I relate the views from a particular country to the people I know from that country who MIGHT be reading my blog !

For instance, I know a lot of views from Germany might be coming from one of my best friends there – I often tell/ask this to my friend, and I never get a definite yes or no in answer :/ The views from NZ again might be coming from a dear friend of mine. I had my school friend in Zambia so I guess some of the views from Zambia would be from her 🙂 I had a friend cum ex colleague from Mauritius who would often read my blog and she has now moved to the Mozambique.

My blogging family – from Canada, I remember Colin & Ray; Erika from the beautiful country of Liechtenstein; TeeCee from Nigeria; Pratik from India; Prajakta & Maulik from my hometown – Ahmedabad, India; Fred & Kat from Florida; Luke from Poland; Rob, FarmGirlBrad, Gijo (Josh) , The Reluctant Poet , Chris & Sarah– from the USA, Zee from Pakistan & Stacey from Brazil (Belated happy birthday, Stace ❤ )

For me each view is much more than just a click. It means a real person reading a part of my soul, sitting may be a thousand miles away from me, yet; very much connected to me in that moment. Blogging has a human touch, hard to confine by boundaries.

A big “Thank you” for the continued shower of love ❤ Hugs & Smiles 🙂 xoxo

Are you reading this post ? If yes, comment the city & country you’re reading this from 🙂

  2. Great! Receiving link from your blog and this is gonna help me gain some views. 😉 You can expect bloggers to have weird beliefs in any possible way about their blog and stats. I don’t check stats of TOD but I wonder seeing stats of Nishabd. The numbers are growing day by day and I feel the guilt for not posting my poems over there. Seems like poems are working better for me than philosophical articles. 😛 Anyways, hi 5 from the city of grapes. 🙂

  3. Wow, I am surprised the flag of my country is in the first row although I might be the only one of the Principality of Liechtenstein who follows you. That’s cool! Thank you for doing such a lovely and thoughtful post for your friends. You are a sweetheart, Himali 💖

  4. Hi Gundappa!

One of my favorite aspects of blogging is the international dimension of it. I’ve learned so much about life in Zimbabwe, for instance, by chatting with my friend Beaton. Blogging is also a large part of the reason I now want to go to India whenever I can. There’s a man who used to share lots of stories and photos about India, both the rural and urban areas, that captured my imagination. Sadly he doesn’t seem to be blogging anymore, but his posts really opened my eyes.

It’s so wonderful to be able to connect with people living in other parts of the world, and to get a better sense of what life is like for the average person in different nations.

  5. Hey sweetie can you believe I just read this. I’m so sorry I haven’t been blogging since April last year. Good news though I’ve decided to get my creative juices flowing again and start blogging once I get the chance. Probably the beginning of February or at least I hope so. I’m looking forward to getting back to connecting with real people in the blogosphere from all over the world. Hope you’re doing well Himaly.
    Love and hugs
    Staci 😘❤️😍
