Beginning today, treat everyone you meet as if they were going to be dead by midnight.
Extend to them all the care, kindness and understanding you can muster, and do it with no thought of any reward.
Your life will never be the same again.

Nov., 13th is celebrated as World Kindness Day and today, I wanted to share one of the simplest ways to spread kindness around. It is the act of listening and giving our love.
A lot of time, people around us just want to be heard patiently. There is nothing we can do to alleviate their pain or suffering but lending a patient ear to them would make them feel loved, cared and valued. Never leave alone someone who is feeling blue/lonely/vulnerable.
Sit with them, hold their hands, whisper in their ears ‘It will be all right’, wipe their tears, comfort them, show your empathy to their suffering and just be there, for them, with them…
I was speaking to my best friend today, during lunch hour and while bidding adieu to her she told me how she had an emotional break down last evening. I walked her to a quiet place and listened to her, gave her a hug and wiped the tears that ran down her cheeks. I tried to show her the silver lining and cheer up her spirits. She has also done the same for me countless times. Every day, when we catch up for lunch – we both listen to each other’s stories, laugh, think, introspect and give our love to one another. There is a special bond we’ve created just because we listen to each other.
Listening patiently and attentively costs us nothing, but the time we give to the recipient is priceless for them. There have been so many times when people have gone out of their way just to make sure I was not left alone when I felt sad. They’ve given me the gift of their patience and love when I’d freak out or get super annoyed with something.
Be available to people – when they need you, you never know how much just your presence can uplift their spirits.
