Persisting through pain, struggle and failure – Hope & Grit!

angela-duckworth-quotes-1.jpg

Life often knocks us down, bringing to us pain, suffering, struggle and failure. All of which seem almost impossible to cope up with… In these moments – where you doubt yourself, when the skies seem so dark and there seems no light at all –

HOW DO YOU KEEP GOING?

DESPITE YOUR IMMEDIATE CURRENT REALITY?

HOW DO YOU PERSIST?

The simplest one-word answer to the above is HOPE.

Hope is the expectation that your efforts and endurance will count. That your persistence and hard work will bring you closer to your goals.

That you CAN and WILL make it happen.

IT IS NOT JUST ABOUT FAITH AND POSITIVITY,

BUT A LOT MORE ABOUT THE RESOLVE TO MAKE IT HAPPEN.

IT IS NOT JUST ABOUT NOT QUITTING,

IT IS ABOUT TRYING DIFFERENTLY,

TREATING EACH CHANCE AS THE FIRST AND THE LAST.

In moments of struggle, I remind myself of my purpose and the ‘WHY”… Also, I remind myself of the people who believe in me and show me unconditional love and acceptance WITH a nudge to perform at my best. They are so rare…

I wrote these little nuggets to remind myself of my purpose and be hopeful…

  1. Struggles have great purpose dear lady, they build that belief in ourselves. And in that belief we finally see the lies and negativity that we always held against ourselves, that wall we were afraid to climb. And as that belief finds us it shows us that love and happiness we had always searched for ‘out there’ was in fact hidden behind our unbelief.
And as each step is cleared, each negativity understood, a hope flowers the further we see into our hearts. Until at last there are no conditions for that belief, no negating influences in our hope…only the heart that has now been set free…the unconditional one where we finally stand in its truth and the perfection of its love ❤️

  2. Just wanted to say that I do that too, write myself messages to encourage my hopeful side or to remind myself of my coping skills when I’m discouraged. I find it helps a lot.

And I love your grit and determination!
