Be the best YOU in Quarantine Time

“Spending time alone in your own company reinforces your self-worth and is often the number-one way to replenish your resilience reserves.”

― Sam Owen

The world is mourning the loss of our innocent brothers and sisters in this state of unprecedented disruption – the global pandemic led by Corona Virus COVID-19. The best we can do is to STAY HOME. Whatever you may choose to call it:

  1. Self Quarantine
  2. Social Distancing
  3. Lockdown
  4. Shelter @ Home
  5. Curfew
  6. Social Isolation

There is a lot of hues and cries around “being locked in 4 walls”, “no fresh air”, “feeling bored”, “so depressing”, “nothing to do”, “unproductive Netflix and chill n video gaming all day”.

Well, LIFE IS WHAT YOU MAKE IT!

“It is hard to love yourself if you never spend time with yourself. ‘Alone Time’ is Necessary”

― Izey Victoria Odiase

I hope and pray that you, your families and loved ones stay healthy and safe. Let us together unite to keep our communities and our world a safe and happy place. Do what you love, spend time in the company (physical or virtual) of our dear ones and never think you are alone.

I’m personally utilizing this time to eat healthier, workout, take care of my skin and speaking daily with my family and friends. To stay accountable to myself and keep on track, I’ve made a small planner and stuck it on my wardrobe where I can see and tick off things from it multiple times a day. I’ve also posted some inspirational messages for myself on my wardrobe (next blog) to keep me cheerful. I was having an official phone call and my counterpart very positively said maybe we all will get back to work with fresher looking skin.

Focus on the good in life, instead of panicking and stressing and worrying. Be responsible, be indoors. Make the best use of this Quarantine Time. Be the future self, you’d be proud of 🙂

“Some journeys in life can only be traveled alone.”

  1. Love this one. This time of isolation does not really have to be seen as a time lost. Instead its time for a spiritual and self development that we ve been putting away due to busy schedule.

  3. I made a comment the other day about how I could ‘feel’ everyone’s reaction, a very unusual one for I had never felt this before. Even though all were a little scared because it was an unknown event, many were shifting into a more peaceful state. They had ‘let go’ of this commercial world and its facade and were standing closer to their hearts and its care for themselves and others.
It was truly a beautiful thing on such a large scale.
We will be ever changed in going through this and never be what went before. A new shift has arrived even if very subtle. A more appreciative generation shall stand on a new path. May we all stand in its love 😀 ❤️ 🙏🏽

      • Thank you for your blessings kind lady, all are well. I am living on my own normally so this is not so unusual in as much I do miss my daily walk to the beach and a coffee though.
But it will give me time to meditate a little more, listen to the birds that visit, and really appreciate the positive that this event will bring. Our hearts journey is always within us but we are easily distracted. This will allow more sunshine to light our path.
Blessings to you and your family too kind lady, may your journey always be in that sunshine 😀 ❤️ 🙏🏽 🦋

  4. Meaningful message by the writer Himali as usual ,beautifully described and defined.
Such circumstances always prompts us to learn something and to be taken in positive spirit !
It will provide boost to those who are forcefully or willingly socially isolated on one side and also it pays homage to those who lost their lives in a battle to fight against fatal virus.
While being social provides lots of benefits, we have been provided with an opportunity to live with self , to find several ways to pass time at home with our family members.
It would be fruitful if instead of utilizing mobiles, we learn new things or we interact with our close ones , so deserved.
Blogs from Himali always render something which is fruitful during life period of all in real sense .
I bless as also hope you will retain such spirit ever and always contribute something in the interest of mass as usual.
    Best wishes !

  5. I’m glad to know you are safe and taking good care of yourself Himali. Working in a grocery store means I am still working so my life is different in putting myself at the front line daily. I do the best I can to help others, trust that I’ll be ok, and rest when I can. I like your routines. Hugs and smiles.

  6. I like the points you made a lot. It reminded me of a quote of Wayne Dyer which I just used in a post this Monday: “You are only lonely if you don’t like the person you are alone with.” I too believe that due to many are “bored” these days, this is the chance to finally give yourself more attention, listen to yourself, and become closer and more loving with your Self again. This time is a big chance on clearing out what we used to dig somewhere, open the drawers, and sort all that stuff out we were hiding … from ourselves.
Much love to you, Himali, and take good care of yourself, dear 💖

      • Hi, Himali. We are doing fine. I am going to work two to three times a week. We spread our team so that we are there only one person at a time. We have not a complete lockdown when even people have to stay at home in case there is no reason to go out. But we are good. We all have enough of tasks and I am finally able to turn more dedicated to my own projects. With all this chaos, this is what I enjoy about it. Yes, we are in Liechtenstein.

You have a good time going through this all. It will pass and then we are so much more thankful for what we are gifted with. We might be thankful for things we have taken for granted for far too long. Stay safe too, dear friend, lots of love 💖

Love and hugs to you too 💜💙❤️
