I usually make a green smoothie with Bananas, but since I ate all of ’em (my rest of the week’s stash :P) over the weekend – I was left with none. I really enjoy green smoothies, not just because they are nutritionally dense and packed with micro vitamins and minerals, but also because Greens and berries are one of the most powerful antioxidants.
As a DIY project, I made a super tasty green smoothie with cucumbers, which are naturally super-rich in water and keeps the body cool in summers 🙂 Let’s jump on to the ingredients
- 2 cucumbers roughly cut in big chunks
- 6-8 frozen berries of your choice (I used frozen strawberries as it was available at home 😉 )
- 1/2 cup of raw/ steamed spinach (The other day when I was boiling some potatoes for snacks, I added my spinach too to the mix, so I had boiled spinach at hand :))
- 1 pinch ground black pepper
- 1 Tablespoon lemon juice
- Ice cubes (optional)
And how do I exactly make this??
Blend up all the ingredients above in your blender and your smoothie is ready to go 😀 #SummerGreenSmoothie ❤
