શોધજો | Shodhjo – A Gujarati Poem

I’ve translated the poem recited above in English below 🙂 :

Find

Someone who will fuff cool air to your hot food
To feed you with their hands..
Who will keep your picture as their mobile’s wallpaper,
Who will call/ think of your name,
The first thing upon waking u,
Who will ask you the menu for lunch and dinner,
Who will sweetly make up with you when you’re upset,
Who will say sorry a 100 times,
When they’ve done something that hurt you,
Who makes your favorite dishes,
Who can have endless talks with you on long drives,
Who will accompany you walking, to the temple,
Who sees the stars in your eyes,
Who worries and cares frantically, when you’re sick,
Who can’t take their eyes off you, when you smile,
Who observes the little things about you and copies them too,
Who will pray for you to God,
Who gives you handwritten letters,
Who will watch you with love while you’re asleep,
Who will press your forehead and even your legs when you’re tired,
Who takes interests and participates in your interests and likes,
Who gives you strength when you’re feeling low,
Who you can share laughter with, for hours together,
Who gives you warmth in winter,
Who will share their umbrella with you on a rainy day,
Find a sweet love like this….
But before that… Become that sweet lover yourself…

  1. How Beautiful…
    A Love So Innocent
    For A Mother, A Couple
    Who Has Been Married
    Decades, And Two
    Kindergarten
    Children who
    Truly Feel each
    Other’s Smiles
    Just to Hold
    A Hand
    Of
    Love..
    Yes.. Love
    Everyone this
    Way reaching
    Out to See
    Truly
    Breathing..:)

  2. I watched the video as you recited the poem and even though I could not understand, I could see that you are beautiful.
I have taken out time to read the translation and it reveals a beautiful heart too.
It takes becoming the kind of lover we dream to find…
Do unto others what you wish them to do unto you.
    Lovely post!
