There will be lots of things, you might regret. Kindness is one thing, you never will.
A few months back, I had started a new ritual – The Cold Coffee Thursdays 🙂 I would carry cold milk in my flask and have my morning breakfast at work. On Thursdays, I would make myself some frothy chilled strong coffee and kickstart the weekend eve morning and it would be extra special as I had newly started to fast on Thursdays. The cold coffee was a sort of distraction from the usual breakfast.
Beginning today, treat everyone you meet as if they were going to be dead by midnight.
Extend to them all the care, kindness and understanding you can muster, and do it with no thought of any reward.
Your life will never be the same again.

In friendship and all relationships in life, I believe it is the little things that matter – paying attention to little details and treating people with the tenderness we would like to receive, is something which warms my heart.
Ever since I joined Toastmasters in 2015, one of my most favorite part of each session is the President’s address (weird, right ? Second is the Table topics session). In the introductory part, the Club President shares a small story or an analogy and sets the tone for the meeting. I wanted to share with you all, one story I heard in our recent meeting :
Read this beautiful quote on my friend’s Facebook profile :
“The heart’s capacity to love always exceeds its capacity to hate .
Anger fades in time, genuine affection stays bright forever.”
P.S.: This is a little lengthy post. Kind of a short story. Please read till the very end 🙂
At times, some things we usually do, sink deep within us, without even our realization. And then they become an integral part of our daily lives. I like listening to music and love going on shopping sprees, especially on “Deal Days” (as I call it 😉 ). Just a mile away from my office, there is a mini supermarket; I’d go at least once a week. While leaving from work, I would tune into my ear phones and put some loud music and head out shopping. I would be there, but I wouldn’t be there. Physically, I would be in a store; mentally, I would be lost in some thoughts or be pondering over the lyrics of the song, I love listening to so much. Since I stay close by, I would often walk to my office or walk back home in evening. Listening to music or talking over the phone on my way is always implied.
